What has changed due to Covid-19?

We ask everyone who is able to wear a mask on entering the premises. We have restricted the number of people coming in & out of the clinic at any one time and all of our therapists are wearing PPE as required by their regulatory bodies and the nature of their work (for physiotherapy, this includes mask, visor, aprons & gloves – but is subject to change as official guidelines are adapted).  All high touch surfaces & items of equipment are disinfected and rooms ventilated between each patient visit.

All payments can be made by contactless methods including cards or bank transfers.

We ask that patients call ahead to cancel their appt if they develop any symptoms such as high temperature, dry cough, loss of taste or smell or generally feel unwell. There is no charge for rescheduling under these circumstances.

We are also able to offer virtual physiotherapy assessments if required, using the Zoom app.

Our group Pilates classes are now online only, via Zoom, though 1:1 sessions can be arranged in person.

How long does an appointment take?

This varies a little depending upon the reason for your booking. As a general rule, allow 1 hour for you first physiotherapy session, 30-45 mins for follow up visits.

Sports massage appointments can be made for 60, 45 or 30 minutes

Allow 60-90 mins for initial Counselling or Clinical Hypnosis sessions.

Podiatry, 45 mins assessment.

Chiropody Appointments are up to 30 minutes duration.

Assessment for neurological conditions such as stroke can take up to 90 mins.

What happens if I have Private Medical insurance?

You will need to contact your insurers to check their requirements. Most private medical insurance companies will ask you to see your GP before starting physiotherapy, and they may specify a limit of cover or a particular time frame. If you can provide us with all the necessary details of insurance company, membership numbers and any other details such as claim numbers or preauthorisation numbers at your first visit we can bill the insurance company directly for the cost of your treatment. Alternatively, you can choose to pay us directly and claim the money back from your insurers.

Please be aware that recently some insurers are now restricting cover and will encourage you to undergo a ‘telephone triage’ appointment with one of their own assessors, or ‘farm out’ your referral to an intermediary company who will pass you on to the cheapest therapist available. It is our experience that these practices significantly add to the time taken to get effective treatment, and are put in place purely for cost rather than quality reasons. We would encourage you to contact us directly, or ask for our clinic by name.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we currently accept Visa and MasterCard.

What are your fees?

Physiotherapy assessments & standard follow up appointments are £52.00 regardless of duration (online or in clinic).

Sports massage  – £30-£48 depending on time booked

Podiatry assessment (including digital gait assessment) – £60.00

Fees for other services and home visits can vary depending on what is required, please do drop us an email with details, or give us a call and we can give you an accurate, no obligation quote.
